Wholly His is a hymn that traces the gospel from creation to new creation. I wrote the lyrics in 1990 to celebrate one of my favorite Bible texts, 2 Chronicles 16:9.
For the eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His.

For the music, I used George Frideric Handel’s Harmonious Blacksmith, though I slowed down the tempo considerably. I’ve sung it often to the Lord in private, but have only heard it performed once. Andrew Broadwater surprised me at my retirement party by thoughtfully creating a proper arrangement and performing it with a vocal ensemble (Thank you so much, Andrew!)
